Eastside 2026

     Benton
    -> White Mountains
-> Death Valley
                -> Alabama Hills

Night 1: Benton Hot Springs

We snagged a last min reservation of the Conway House for our first night, a creaking 150+ yr old home, the backyard ringed by cottonwood trees, which chorus in the shifting desert winds as you soak in the private tub, which has a stunning view of the tallest peak in Nevada — Boundary Peak — 13,147

->Onward towards Bishop, we took meandering Fish Slough Road past multiple protected Piute petroglyph sites, with a few instances of early miner graffiti.
Passing through Bishop, I always make a point to stop through Eastside Sports, which has an impressive offering of small press adventure books, serious map selection, and an assorment of less common solution driven outdoor gear.

-> Night 2: White Mountains /
Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest
